This is a great little stencil book. Despite it's size, the stencils themselves are not too small. These are great for typical stencil painting and also for use in Valentine's Day window decorating. And for this price you usually only get one stencil so this book of stencils is a definite money saver.

I have to admit that I wasn't expecting much from the book, because all I had heard was "it is very nice"; but I loved it! It is very well- written, and I couldn't let go! The story begins when Gemma, a gorgeous, young aspiring actress loses one of her legs in a train crash...and with her legs, she loses her dreams and her independence. However, she is determined to overcome all the difficulties that are put in her way, and manages to keep her head high no matter what. At the same time, she meets a young doctor, and their love-hate relationship is at times sweet, at others really unbelievable!! She also has to deal with her overprotective mother, her father who appears after leaving them when she was born, and all the legal matters of the accident. Overall, I think it is a great story which describes what someone in her position would go through in a very realistic way. I very highly recommend it, and I am certain that when you close the book, you will have a wide smile on your face and an inspiring story to remember forever.

Some much to see, feel and love in this rare compliation of some of the best art to be created in this century. I'll open it for any kind of creative inspiration i need, and it has never let me down!

FREE use of graphics is permitted ... it is a great resource for web designers. It has great designs and textures which, if used properly, can really enhance your website. A lot of the graphics can make for lovely textures and backgrounds. The graphics are from history .... ornaments from Oceania, Egypt, Greek, Pompeian, Roman, Byzantine, Arabian, Turkish, Moorish, Persian, Indian, Chinese, Celtic, Medieval, Renaissance, Italian ... loads of Ornaments from all over. A must buy IMO!

I cheat, because I admit haven't bought the book, but entered a 5-star rating because I wanted more people to get to know this relatively unknown artist. Sorry.
Came across a Max Klinger exhibition when I was still a teenager when I was visiting Tokyo. His etchings have fascinated me since then, possessing at once an ethereal and surrealistic quality, against the backdrop of everyday life. The cover of this book is a perfect example: what is a scene at a early century skating rink Klinger frozed a moment where the viewer is temporarily disconcerted by the absurdity of the movements of the people in the picture. This "perfect imbalance" permeates through most of his other works.
15 years on, with the advent of internet technology, and emergence of sites like google, I tried again to revisit this great artist. A comtemporary of Klimt, with whom he collaborated on some occasions, he was nonetheless driven back into undeserved obscurity.
Klinger made, at his peak a prolific graphic artist and able sculpter, subtle but provoking art.

This is a wonderful story of courage tested under fire. Though Stephen Crane was not a soldier during the War Between the States, he adeptly captured the emotions felt by those who did fight.

I absoulutely love this book! I was required to read Great Expectations for school, and what I thought was going to be a long and dull school novel turned out to be my favorite book of all times. It has everything that you could want in a story; life lessons, mystery, love, sadness, regret, passion, and so much more! If you enjoy reading about life's twists and turns, like the way Dickens writes, or you just want to read a good book, Great Expectations is the perfect choice. You will instantly fall in love with this Charles Dickens classic!

This was a very informative book and helped me a lot with my report on writers. I got it from the library, but I couldn't keep it so I bought one from here. If you need to find out something about Irish writers, or if you want to read and Irish writer's book, but don't remember their name, this is the book to get.
